A member of the DID Deutsch Institut group of language schools, DID Hamburg is a friendly German school in the heart of the city of Hamburg. With high-quality courses and well-trained teachers with plenty of experience working with different cultures, DID can ensure you make as much progress as possible during your stay, while also having a great time!

In addition to the Hamburg school, DID has schools in Berlin, Munich and Frankfurt. All the schools offer a variety of standard German, business German, exam preparation and history/culture courses. As these courses have the same structure in each school, DID offers the opportunity to split your language course over more than one of its schools, enabling you to see as much of the country as possible during your trip. Why not start your course in the northern port city of Hamburg and later moving to one of the country’s other major cities?

DID Hamburg is located in the Esplanade Building, a historic art deco building in the city center. From the roof terrace, students have a beautiful view of the city and Inner Alster lake. The Euro-Business-College is located in the same building, an institute offering business, tourism, politics and media courses to local students. As a result, while at DID you will meet locals studying at the College on the roof terrace or in the cafeteria, giving you an extra opportunity to practice your German and learn more about local everyday life outside the classroom.

DID Hamburg arranges a variety of activities for its students’ free time. These may include tours of the harbor, learning about the city’s architecture, visits to the Hamburg Dungeon, nights out and weekend excursions to the North Sea beaches or the cities of Berlin, Bremen or Lübeck.
